Cat Ion Music

Welcome to Cat Ion Music, the Fourth Album to be recorded on Stoney Lonesome Farm. Over the past few days, I have been sorting and distributing the songs I have written over the years since graduating from college in 2000- the time is now to record these songs and share them with my friends, family, and a wider community of folks- the songs form four albums, with nine tracks on each, 36 total tracks. I like all of the tracks, and I enjoy playing them. I think of the albums as shares in our farm's Community Supported Agriculture program- eight or nine types of vegetables, herbs & flowers is plenty if the quality and diversity is there.

My vision is to lay down good recordings of the songs, and proto-albums. From there we shall see- I envision these albums as sets, to be performed with a diversity of musicians in a diversity of contexts.

The purpose of this blog is to enhance the experience of my music by sharing the process of recording, and general thoughts regarding Cat Ion. It is perhaps strange to begin a blog on an album that has not yet been recorded, but the album exists in in my mind, now on paper, and so therefore the process has begun.

Now on to begin a blog about the third album, completing the set of four sessions...

In Strength,

Farmer Pablo
